The DMIA’s membership also includes numerous companies servicing the diamond trade such as banks, shippers, insurers, and diamond grading laboratories. The DMIA is a “Not for Profit” corporation.

Dear Members, Industry Colleagues and Friends,

This July, a couple of friends and I spent – after receiving the blessings of our better halves – ten days on our motorbikes, touring the states of New Hampshire and Ohio. The day before we left, IDMA’s communications director Ya’akov Almor called me, saying:

I have an assignment for you. While on your trip, you will come through a lot of towns and villages. Why don’t you stop at a few of them, walk into the local jewelry store, introduce yourself and ask the retail jeweler a few questions. I can’t wait to hear how the jeweler will react when a guy in bike gear walks into the store introducing himself as the president of IDMA, DMIA and USJC and as a member of the board of the 24-Karat Club, asking about how diamonds are performing in today’s retail business!”
